Île Plane is located just beyond Cape Sidi Ali El Mekki, precisely 2.3 miles from the coast. It is a plateau rising eight meters above sea level, home to a building of the Tunisian Navy and a 12-meter-high lighthouse.

A multitude of fishing and diving sites surround this wonderful island, located just 2.1 nautical miles (3.8 km) from the coast, 15.5 nautical miles (28.8 km) from Gammarth, and 19.5 nautical miles (35.3 km) from Sidi Bou Said.
